Internal security division chief visits Udupi to check any possible security threats.

April 27: After the recent Easter Sunday bomb blasts in Sri Lanka, Director General of Police (Internal Security Division) A M Prasad and ADGP (Internal Security) C H Pratap Reddy visited Udupi district. During their visit to the city, they checked the preparedness of the Karnataka State Coastal Security Police (KCSP) in facing any possible security threats.
The senior officials directed the KCSP officials to provide high security along the stretch from Mangalore to Karwar in the West Coast of the state after conducting a patrolling in an interceptor boat. They also told the officials to remain alert at some strategic places and stay in alert mode.
