The 2.1 km-long Kalladka flyover has been opened on both sides for vehicular movement from June 25, Wednesday. Earlier, on June 2, only one side of the flyover was opened for traffic. Initially, vehicles travelling from Mani towards BC Road were officially permitted, but vehicles from both directions were using the same side, causing congestion. Now, with the central portion of the flyover mostly complete, traffic has been allowed on both sides.

However, commuters are to be carefull while travelling advised while using the flyover as work on dividers and retaining walls at the beginning and end of the flyover is still pending. In some places, rainwater is seen falling directly onto the road due to the incomplete drainage pipeline installation.
