‘Kannada Shala Makkala Habba’ Has Been Organised For Kannada-Medium School Children: Click to Know

The Keshava Smriti Samvardhana Samiti, Sanghanikethan, Mangalore, will organise ‘Kannada Shala Makkala Habba’ for two days, for Kannada-medium schoolchildren, studying from grade V to grade X, from November 19. Dr Mohan Alva, chairman of Alva’s Education Foundation, and president of the welcome committee of the habban said that it is being held to improve confidence, and create awareness about language, literature, and culture, among the young generation.

The inauguration of the habba will be held on November 19, a procession will be held from the Shree Gokarnateshwara College grounds to Sanganikethan on the first day. It will be followed by a documentary presentation, on the history of Karnataka, its language, the importance of literature, and many other topics.

The habba is exclusively for students studying in the Kannada-medium in Udupi, Kasaragod, and Dakshina Kannada districts. A total 15,000 students from grades V to X are expected to participate. The association has made elaborate arrangements for them.
