KSRTC Mangalore Dasara Darshana Package Tour a Big Hit: More Buses Added

The one day KSRTC Mangalore Dasara Darshana package tour has received overwhelming response after which more buses have been added. On the first day, KSRTC was running three buses but the buses increased to nine on day four. Four AC buses have also been added. Initially KSRTC had planned to introduce one bus. However, based on the demand, they started with three buses on day one, increased it to five on day two; seven buses on day three, and nine buses on Thursday. Based on demand, four city Volvo AC buses have also been added to the tour, in addition to the existing midibuses.

The fare for the AC buses has been increased by Rs 100. For non-AC buses, the fare for adults is Rs 300, and Rs 250 for children. Temples such as the ones in Kateel and Polali, that are visited by a large number of pilgrims, made special darshan arrangements, and Bappanadu temple has arranged for special queues for the food counters.

The Sasihithlu temple, Urva Marigudi, has also arranged for tea and snacks for the passengers. Also, since the Halekote Mariyamma temple authorities requested that the temple be included in the package, it has been done so.
The bus will take passengers to Mangaladevi Temple, Halekote Sri Mariyamma Temple, Bolar Polali Sri Rajarajeshwari Temple, Sunkadakatte Sri Ambika Annapoorneshwari Temple at Gurupura, Kateel Sri Durgaparameshwari Temple, Bappanadu Sri Durgaparameshwari Temple, Sasihithlu Sri Bhagavathi Temple and beach, Chitrapura Sri Durgaparameshwari Temple, Urwa Sri Mariyamma Temple and Kudroli Sri Gokarnanatha Temple.
