Kukke Temple to help Flood Victims: Rs 1 Crore to be Donated Towards CM’s Relief Fund

August 15: The managing committee of the Kukke Subrahmanya Temple has decided to donate Rs 1 crore towards the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund for the flood victims.
Committee President Nithyananda Mundodi said that heavy rain resulted in floods which have damaged several houses, farm land and temples. In order to help the affected families, the Temple will hand over Rs 1 crore to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund. This decision was conveyed to the Deputy Commissioner.
Along with this, the Government had issued a circular asking the temple to distribute cloths to the the natural calamity victims. As per the circlular,  clothes will be handed over to the victims in Belthangady, Bantwal and Madikeri taluks after bringing it to the notice of the deputy commissioner and Puttur assistant commissioner, he said.
