Lack of rains: Water rationing may be continued in Mangalore

May 11: The water level at Thumbe vented dam has again dipped to 4.1 meters. If rains fail, then the water crisis will be worse in Mangalore city. Mangalore City Corporation (MCC) officers said at present, water is supplied for 96 hours and stopped for 48 hours but if the water-level in Thumbe vented depletes further, then extending water rationing system with the Deputy Commissioner should be discussed.
