‘Laksha Deepotsava’ at Udupi: Daily Utsav Begin

November 10: ‘Laksha Deepotsava’ on the day of Utthana Dvadash at Udupi marks the beginning of daily Utsav in Udupi.
On the occasion of laksha deepotsava, thousands of devotees gathered with all devotion and participated in lighting oil lamps around Sri Krishna Math Udupi here on Saturday, November 9. Lakhs of oil lamps were lit in specially constructed wooden rows.
The ‘Laksha Deepotsava’ will be held for three days where the next two will be held as ‘harake seve’ by devotees.
Several religious rituals were performed by Vidyadheesha Theertha Swamiji of Paryaya Palimar Math. Vishwesha Theertha Swamiji of Pejawar Math, Vidyasagar Theertha Swamiji of Krishnapura Math, Vishwaprasanna Theertha, junior seer of Pejawar Math, Vidya Vallabha Theertha of Kaniyoor Math, Vishwavallabha Theertha Swamiji of Sode Math, Junior Sri Vidyarajeshwar Theertha Swamiji of Palimaru math also participated in the ‘Kshiraabdhi’ ritual at the Mantapa in the middle of ‘Madhwa Sarovara’ on the temple premises.
