Last Date For Depositing Licensed Firearms And Weapons Postponed to April 13

In a major development, the last date for depositing firearms and weapons has been revised to April 13. Earlier the last date for depositing the arms was notified as April 24.

In the backdrop of the Karnataka Assembly elections, all gun license holders in the Dakshina Kannada district have been directed to deposit their weapons at local police stations or authorized ammunition dealers by April 13.

Failure to comply with this directive will result in appropriate legal action being taken. The action has been taken in a bid to conduct free, fair, and peaceful elections in the Dakshina Kannada district of Karnataka.
