Least Response For Karnataka Bandh in Dakshina Kannada & Udupi District on September 29

Very less or no response in twin districts Dakshina Kannada & Udupi to the Karnataka Bandh call given by various organizations in protest against releasing of Cauvery river water to Tamil Nadu on September 29.

Most of the organizations in Dakshina Kannada and Udupi like bus drivers’ association, hotel associations and several others have expressed only moral support to the bandh. The government, private buses, taxi and auto-rickshaws will run as usual. As no one has asked to close hotels and shops, they will also be open as usual. No holiday is declared to schools and colleges.
