Lobo alleges that voters names missing in the list without any prior notice

April 18: Former MLA J R Lobo alleged that voters’ list at many polling stations had mistakes with many voters’ names being dropped from the list without prior notice. He said that the names of voters who has cast their vote in the last elections are dropped from voters’ list this time without any notice. At booth number 55 Bikarnakatte, around 200 voters were denied from casting vote because the voters’ list did not have their names. Therefore nearly 5,000 voters names have been deleted in the constituency, he said adding  there is a possibility of deletion of names of 50,000 voters in the entire constituency. He also said that he would file a complaint with the State as well as the Central Election Commission.
