Man arrested for celebrating Godse’s birthday in Kumpala

May 23: Ullal police have arrested a man for allegedly celebrating the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi’s assasin Nathuram Godse. Rajesh Poojary, leader of All India Hindu Maha Sabha is the arrested person. Godse’s birthday was celebrated by Hindu Maha Sabha and floral tributes were offered to his portrait at a house in Ashraya Colony in Kumpala, in Mangalore taluk.
The house belongs to Vishwanath. The Ullal police have booked cases against five persons including Rajesh, Lohith, Vishwanath Poojary. A suo moto case was registered against these five people in the Ullal police station in this regard.
