Man arrested for theft at a showroom in Padil

May 4: The police has arrested a man in connection with theft in showrooms in Padil. The police have seized three laptops, four tablets, three mobile phones, two gold bangles, 1 cash locker and 1 camera which were stolen from seven places. The police have also recovered a torch, mask and iron rod used for stealing. The value of the total seized properties is
Rs 1.87 lakh.

The arrested has been identified as Prasad Poojary, a resident of Hosabettu in Moodbidri. He is already facing three cases including attempt to murder and theft at Moodbidri police station. He was even involved in robbery cases reported at Srirangapatna.
