Man drowns while collecting clams (Maruvai)

May 9: A man accidentally fell into river Phalguni while collecting clams (Maruvai) and drowned, at Adyapady dam.
The deceased has been identified as Shankara Poojary (49), a resident of Moodushedde Edurupadavu. Poojary drowned while he was getting ready to leave after collecting clams.
