Man killed by speeding train

April 21: A 74-year-old man was killed after being knocked down by
a speeding train. The deceased has been identified as Annu from Anagalli village of Kundapur taluk. He had told his family members that he would cast his vote at a polling booth at Basroor and return but went missing from April 18.
The relatives, along with the police, had launched a search operation for Annu  on Thursday evening. His body was found near the railway track on Friday.
As per the information received from the Police, Annu had been walking on the railway track. Being hearing impaired, he was not aware of the train that was approaching him, and the accident took place near Hattikudru in Kundapur.
