Mangala Stadium to be developed under Smart City Project!

Districtr Minister U T Khader mentioned that Mangala Stadium to be developed under Smart city project at a cost of Rs 17.5 crore. A detailed report will be made for reference & consultation of Smart city project experts & stake holders.

Along with this work at Kabaddi stadium at Urva & indoor badminton stadium too will be taken up at a cost of Rs 5 crore each.

Minister U T Khader directed the officials to auction the commercial stalls in the stadium premises without hampering the regular sports activity.  He also directed the officials to create a plan for the development of of the football ground at Nehru Maidan.

D C Sasikanth Senthil inspected the roof of the stadium. He directed the panchayat raj engineering division to consider demolishing & replacing the roof with weather resistant sheets.

Zilla Panchayat President Meenakshi Shantigodu, Mayor Bhaskar Moily, MD of Mangalore Smart City Ltd  B H Narayanappa & MCC Commisioner Mohommad Nazeer were also present.
