Mangalore City Corporation to Launch a Recycle, Refurbish, & Reuse Campaign: Check Out

The Mangalore City Corporation (MCC) is all set to launch a Recycle, refurbish, and reuse (RRR) campaign to make public places in the city free from the garbage menace. MCC will be setting up RRR centres across Mangalore city from Saturday to June 1, for the convenience of citizens, institutions, commercial enterprises, and others to deposit unused or used plastic items, clothes, footwear, books, newspapers and toys.

The collected items will be recycled, refurbished, and reused. The citizens will receive eco-friendly products in exchange for their goods. The initiative is expected to help residents and commercial establishments in the city to get rid of old items, which they are unable to dispose of.

MCC will also set up collection centres to give used plastic items, old books, used clothes and footwear and any other item that the city chooses, which will be further refurbished, reused, or processed.
