Mangalore City Gearing Up For Dasara Celebrations: City Roads to be Illuminated by MCC

Mangalore City South MLA D Vedavyasa Kamath said Mangalore City Corporation (MCC) will illuminate the city roads for Mangalore Dasara and Navarathri celebrations. Mangalore Dasara is gaining popularity across the country. Kudroli Sri Gokarnanatha Temple, Mangaladevi Temple, Venkatramana Temple in Car Street, Mariamma Temple Urva and Venkatramana Temple at Dongerkery are known for Navarathri celebrations.

The MLA said Mangalore Dasara is recognised on the lines of the famous Mysuru Dasara celebrations and is attracting devotees and tourists from across the country and beyond too.

The economy and tourism will get a boost with the Dasara celebrations. The MCC has taken a decision to illuminate the roads even in the future irrespective of the party in power, Kamath said. The MLA said the Brahma Sri Narayana Guru Circle will be inaugurated during Mangalore Dasara. The work on the circle is in its final stages.
