Mangalore is All Set to Witness National Muay Thai Championship: Know More About This

November 11: Mangalore city is all set to witness the National Muay Thai championship which will be help at the Karavali Utsav Grounds from November 20 to 24. Around 50,000 audience is expected for the event.  Initially the event was scheduled at Panambur, but the venue was shifted due to the uneven weather.
Muay Thai is an art of eight limbs as it is characterized by the combined use of fists, elbows, knees, and shins.
Sachin Raj Rai, organising secretary, Muay Thai Association of Karnataka and proprietor, Monkey Mayhem Fight Club and Fitness Centre said that this sport is considered to be one among the deadliest combat sports which is visually attractive. The best fighters from all over India will fight it out for  10 championship belts.
Registrations will begin on November 19 at the venue. Senior National Muay Thai Championship, is an amateur competition that will see participants from 27 states. Under the amateur category, fighting is done wearing guards, head gear, chest gear, chin guard and elbow and knee pads. The second event, Pro India Muay Thai  is a professional fight comprising 10 fights and 20 participants. This league will be held on November 24.
The event will be held between 4 pm and 10 pm every day. Several stalls will be put up at the venue.
Chief minister B S Yediyurappa is expected to inaugurate the event along with tourism minister C T Ravi and secondary education minister Suresh Kumar.
