Mangalore Police Commissioner Asks Public to Adhere to The Guidelines During New Year Celebrations

Mangalore City Police Commissioner N Shashi Kumar has said that strict measures have been enforced for New Year celebrations. He said all New Year programmes must end at 12.30 midnight and that loudspeakers must not be used after 10 pm even if permission has been obtained. He urged people to adhere to the New Year guidelines.

32 check posts have been created including 16 check points and that strict eye will be kept on rash and negligent driving. Triple riding  or riding under the influence of alcohol will face action, he said. No one must celebrate in a manner that inconveniences  others, the Commissioner said and extended New Year greetings to the public.
