Mangalore Police Commissioner Issues Strict Guidelines For New Year Celebrations in The City
Mangalore city Police Commissioner has asked all hotels, restaurants, clubs and other organisations to adhere to the rules laid down during New Year celebrations.
All those organizing New Year programmes will have to seek prior approval from the Police Department by filling the prescribed form and submitting the same to the City Police Commissionerate by 5 pm on December 28.
On December 31, all New Year programmes must end by 12 midnight. Those celebrating on beaches and public places must behave decently and there is no scope for any unruly behavior or vulgar dance. Liquor must not be supplied to those below 18 years and those below 18 must not be allowed for the celebrations at hotels, clubs and other places unless they are accompanied by their parents.
The commissioner said that strict action will be taken against all those who violate these rules.
