Mangalore Smart City Limited Has Plans For Waterfront Development Project: Click to Know

Mangalore Smart City Limited (MSCL), will soon commence the work on some of waterfront development projects, including a promenade. The waterfront development project planned under the Smart City Mission, aims at converting approximately a 5km stretch, from Netravati bridge to Bolar in the city, into attractive tourist spots.

Through the promenade project, the MSCL has plans to develop the waterfront as an active recreational and commercial hub, with gardens, parks, pedestrian-friendly walkways, bicycle track, boardwalks, nature park and adventure sports, to promote tourism. MSCL has begun the work of the proposed project after receiving the clearance from the Coastal Regulation Zone (CRZ). The project is being taken up at an estimated cost of Rs 70 crore.
