Mangaloreans celebtrate Mahashivaratri with great devotion & faith!

On the occasion of Mahashivaratri on Monday, various temples in Mangalore were filled with thousands of devotees. Sevearl pooja’s were performed with faith & devotion.

Temples were filled with devotees from early morning to avoid rush during later hours. Sri Gokarnanatha Kshetra, Sharavu mahaganapathy Temple, Kadri Sri Manjunatha temple were filled with devotees who performed special poojas, Shiyala Abhisheka, panchamrata abhishekas.

Mahashivaratri is celebrated as a ‘great night’ or ‘Maha Ratri’, when devotees observe fast, stay awake, and offer puja to Lord Shiva.It was a treat to eyes to see people in Mangalore celebrate the festival with great devotion & faith.
