Massive Operation to Trap Wild Elephant in Kadaba Begins With Five Trained Elephants & Their Mahouts

A massive operation to capture the wild elephant that trampled two persons to death at Kadaba on Monday, has begun. Five trained elephants have been brought to Renjilady along with their mahouts. The operation is led by DCF Dinesh YK. Senior officials of the District Administration as well as the Forest Department are at the spot.

As many as 50 forest personnel, 30 trained mahouts are part of the operation. The elephants  Prashanth, Abhimanyu, Harsha, Mahendra and Kanjan were brought from Nagarahole and Dubare elephant camps by trucks. Specialist doctors have also arrived from Mangaluru and Nagarahole.
