‘Matadana Jagruthi Ratha’ An initiative by SVEEP Committee flagged off in Mangalore!

March 17: District SVEEP Committee Chairman and Zilla Panchayat CEO Dr R Selvamani along with DK Disttrict DC Sasikanth Senthil flagged off ‘Matadana Jagruti Ratha’, a vehicle meant to spread awareness on voting.

This ‘Matadana Jagruti Ratha’ initiative is taken up by District SVEEP Committee. The vehicle will travel in Mangalore for 30 days playing recorded messages on the importance of free and fair elections in Kannada and Tulu languages. Microphone publicity will also be carried out. Two more vehicles such vehicles will start making rounds in rural areas from April 1. People can dial the toll free number 1950 for any queries related to election. ‘Matadana Jagruti Ratha’ will remind the voters to check their names and verify other details in the voters’ list.”
District Information and Publicity Department Senior Assistant Director K Rohini and District Adult Education Officer Sudhakar were present during the occasion.
