MCC Launches ‘My City My Budget’ Campaign: Here is a Chance to Give Your Inputs on Mangalorean Budget

The second edition of the annual citizen participatory budgeting campaign, My City My Budget has been launched by Mangalore City Corporation (MCC). The campaign in Mangalore will be conducted till January 29. During this period, a specially designed budget bus will traverse across the 60 wards of Mangalore, collecting inputs from citizens for the upcoming budget of the city corporation for 2023-24. Citizens can also submit inputs online, by visiting https://www.mycitymybudget.in/.

The standard input form, prepared based on wide consultations with city councillors, MCC officials and ward committee members, is available for citizens to provide their priorities for development works to be taken up in their respective wards. Citizens have to indicate their top three priorities from among a list of eight categories, including footpaths, solid waste management, stormwater drain, streetlights, parks, public toilets, roads and underground drainage.
