The Mangalore City Corporation (MCC) has commenced the cleaning up and dredging of rajakaluves (major drains), storm water drains and shoulder drains ahead of the monsoon.
During the process accumulated silt in minor drains is being cleared by pourakarmikas. The MCC has urged the public not to dump any kind of solid waste, including building debris and plastic, into drains.
