The Mangalore City Corporation (MCC), previously used its own software for issuing and renewing trade license. But as per govt’s directive to use a uniform software model, preparations are under way to implement new software in Mangalore. The state govt has developed software called ‘Vyapar’ for issuing trade licenses to businesses. MCC will also adopt the ‘Vyapar’ software.

The MCC suspended trade license services, including issuance and renewal, through its old software to comply with the state govt’s directive. All trade license services will be facilitated exclusively via the ‘Vyapar’ software. Further, it also simplifies the verification process. Instead of multi-step verification, the new software completes the process with a two-step verification. The the new software is introduced to standardise trade license issuance across the state and improve transparency and efficiency in the process.

Traders who want to avail themselves of new trade licenses or renew existing ones may visit the website http://www.mrc.gov.in and click the ‘Citizen Online Services tab to avail themselves of the online facility. After clicking the ‘Vyapar Trade Licence’ tab, traders may submit the applications and pay the required fees online.
