Measures are being taken by Police for a hassle free Election

Mangalore City Police have undertaken several measures to ensure hassle free Loksabha Election. Central Armed police forces (CAPF) have already arrived in the city and have conducted route marches along with Mangalore City Police Officials. These route marches have been conducted in 12 sensitive areas.
As per the information received from the police, 1957 licensed firearms have been deposited at respective Police stations. A total of 447 people accused in various cases have been arrested with non bailable warrants and are produced before the court. Police officers have been trained for election purpose. Police have also secured bonds from rowdy sheeters and people with criminal background, and are warned against getting involved in any illegal activities.
