Mangalore City police commissioner stated that several measures have been taken to implement traffic rules & ease traffic congestion. These measures have been taken under Mangalore Police City Commissionerate Jurisdiction.

20 Solar blinker lights have been installed at main junctions to check accident at night if any. 100 clamps have been obtained to introduce wheel-clamping to check parking violation in the city as parking vehicles in no parking zone was creating inconvenience to the pedestrians. Zebra crossing as several locations have been repainted to make roads pedestrian friendly & vehicles parked on Zebra crossing during the red light will be fined. CCTV Cameras have been installed at various locations to maintain law & order. Multifunctional devices have been obtained to check traffic violation. These Devices can serve notice & fine on spot.
