Minister Srinivas Poojary Does Something Unique To Create Awareness on Mass Marriage: Check Out

February 14:The Government has planned to conduct mass marriages every year at 100 ‘A’ grade temple which are managed by the Muzrai department.
Under this scheme, the temples will bear the expenses of these marriages. The temples will also spend Rs 55,000 on each couple, including 8 grams of gold for the mangalasutra and Rs 10,000 and Rs 5,000 cash for the bride and groom respectively on the wedding day.
Muzrai minister Kota Srinivas Poojary said that the mass marriages will be conducted on April 26 at 100 A Grade temples. To create awareness on this, minister Poojary has launched “Sapthapadi Ratha” at the premises of Kollur Mookambika Temple. The Ratha will visit each and every village in the district and will create awareness regarding the scheme which will be a boon for economically poor. Couples who wish to get married during this mass marriage ceremony will have to register their names by March 27 at the respective temple jurisdictions.
