Missing fisherman’s brother breathes his last after consuming poison

May 17: The brother of one of the missing fishermen, who was on board the ill-fated Suvarna Thribhuja fishing boat, has breathed his last at a private hospital in Udupi on Thursday. Chandrashekar, a resident of Bhatkal and brother of Ramesh, had consumed poison unable to come into terms with the ongoing mission’s failure to trace his brother.
He was shifted to Adarsha hospital in Udupi with the internal bleeding on Tuesday night.  Chandrashekar was in deep anguish that the whereabouts of his elder brother- Ramesh were unknown since December, 15 2018.
Shaniyar Thimmappa Mogera, father of the brothers andhis wife are bed-ridden since the time their son Ramesh had gone missing along with other six fishermen.
Adarsha Hospital Medical Director Dr G S Chandrashekar had said that the condition of Chandrashekar was critical when he was brought to the hospital and efforts were on to save him. His liver had suffered extensive damage due to consumption of poisonous substance and that the internal organs were completely damaged.
