MLA Umanath Kotian threatens to protest if property card is made compulsory in Mulki

May 18: MLA of Mulki Moodbidri constituency Umanath Kotian has threatened to  protest if property card is made compulsory for land dealings in Mulki town limits. He said making property cards mandatory in Mulki  when it was not made mandatory in Mangalore though  it was implemented on a trial basis since February 1,  was unfair. He claimed that property cad was unscientific and added that he would support the move only if all loopholes are  plugged.
Mulki sub-registrar said that property card is made compulsory for only one village in Suratkal, which falls under the limits of Mulki. Apart from this village, the property card is not made mandatory in any other villages of Mulki sub-registrar limits.
