MLA Vedavyas Kamath’s assurance brings tremendous hopes in rescuing 35 Youths from Mangalore stranded in Kuwait

May 25: A video in which 35 youths from Mangalore are seen speaking about how they have been trapped in Kuwait without money and food has gone on viral on social media. In the video the youths are alleging that Manikya Associates, a placement agency owned by Prasad Shetty had taken 65000 each from them assuring jobs in a firm called Carriage in Kuwait. It is seen in the video that they have not been paid salary from past five months and now do not have money to even get food. In the video the youths have appealed to Mangalore South MLA Vedavyas Kamath seeking help to get them back from kuwait.
Responding to the video MLA Vedavyas Kamath has released a video on his FB page in which he has mentioned that he would do his best to get the boys back to Mangalore. He mentioned that he has spoken to the concerned authorities and would take help from the utmost person in the Government regarding this matter. He said that he has spoken to his friend Raj Bhandary in Kuwait to offer immediate help to the youths by providing them food and other requirements. MLA Kamath has even mentioned that once he gets their passport copies through his friend, he will send them to the central government and request the government to urge the Kuwait authorities to take action against the guilty parties ant the boys back home safe.
