More than 10000 flex banners & posters removed-D C Sasikanth Senthil

More than 10ooo flex banners, posters & wall writings removed from Mangalore city for violation of code of conduct. This was done during a 0drive organized by District Administration. 00

The District Commissioner Sasikanth Senthil said that they had conducted three meetings with representatives from political parties to discuss the rules of Model code of conduct.

DC Senthil said that several measures have been taken to track the model code of conduct. 73 flying squads, 169 sector officers, 69 static surveillance teams, 25 video surveillance teams, & 8 MCC Teams have been set up to ensure hassle free polling.

He Mentioned that nearly 2924 arms have been submitted in the District which is just 30% of the licensed firearms  in Mangalore. The deadline to submit the arms ends on March 18th & no extension would be given. He appealed to the public to keep required documents if they were carrying cash above Rs 50000. He even warned the public against forwarding fake messages on social media leading to communal disharmony.

DK District Superintendent Laxmi Prasad was also present during the meet.
