MP Nalin Kumar Kateel gives a date for opening of Thokkottu flyover for traffic

May 30: MP Nalin Kumar Kateel inspected the work of Thokkottu flyover and said that it will be open for traffic from June 10, while the Pumpwell flyover in first week of August.
Kateel, who won the election with 34000 victory margin in Mangalore South constituency took stock of the work going on both at Thokkottu and Pumpwell (Mahaveer) flyovers on Wednesday and said that the work will continue even during the monsoon.
He stated that he had instructed officials to prevent water logging and artificial flooding at both Thokkottu and Pumpwell junctions. Kateel allayed apprehensions about the height of Pumpwell flyover and declared that the height adhered to international standards (5.5 metres).
