The Railway Ministry has approved the introduction of Train No. 16329/330 Nagercoil Jn-Mangalore Jn-Nagercoil Jn.
The Nagercoil Junction-Mangalore Junction-Nagercoil Junction Amrit Bharat Weekly Express is one among the many new trains to be flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on January 23. It will be flagged off as an inaugural special from Thiruvananthapuram Central as Train No. 06329 at 10.45 am.
The train will reach Mangalore Jn at 1 a.m. on January 24. The train will have 11 general second class, eight second class sleeper, one generator car and one luggage-cum-brake van coaches.
Regular service of Train No. 16329/330 will be notified separately, the Railways said. Train No. 16329 departs Nagercoil Jn on Tuesdays at 11.40 a.m. to reach Mangalore Jn at 5 a.m. on Wednesdays. Train No. 16330 departs Mangalore Jn at 8 a.m. on Wednesdays to reach Nagercoil Jn at 10.05 p.m. the same day.
