National-Level Open Badminton Tournament Inaugurated in Mangalore: Check Out
The three-day national-level open badminton tournament, ‘Mangala Cup 2024’, has been inaugurated at the US Mallya Indoor Stadium on Friday, May 10. The event is being organized by the Mangala Badminton Association. The event was inaugurated by joint director of youth empowerment and sports Pradeep D’Souza, motorsport champion Ashwin Naik, and senior referees Suresh and Beena Suresh.
The tournament will feature men’s and women’s singles and doubles, mixed doubles, as well as men’s doubles for ages 30, 40, and 50 years and above, along with women’s singles for ages 30 years and above. The total cash prize amounts to Rs 5.83 lac. Participants from Karnataka, Goa, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, and other states will compete in the Mangala Cup.
