NDRF teams to reach Dakshina Kannada on May 25: Click to know why

may 25: Teams from National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) will be deployed at Dakshina Kannada from May 25 for the forthcoming south west monsoon. The ministry of home affairs (MHA) deplyed the team following the disaster that struck the two districts in the last monsoon. The teams will be in district on May 25, according to a communique sent by NDRF top brass to the principal secretary to the government department.
If additional NDRF teams are required in case of emergency they will be sent from the headquarters.
Deputy commissioner Sasikanth Senthil said that the district administration had flagged the issue of requisitioning the NDRF team to be in the district in view of the harrowing experience that the district went through, last monsoon.
