Nearly 700 Street Vendors Under Mangalore City Corporation to Get ID Cards: Click to Know

Street vendors led by the Dakshina Kannada District Street Vendors Welfare Association have been holding protests for the past few years. Nearly 700 street vendors carrying out business in the Mangalore City Corporation (MCC) limits will receive identity cards from the urban local body. The Town Vending Committee (TVC) of the MCC had completed a survey, and identified nearly 700 street vendors who are eligible to receive identity cards. The process of issuing identity cards will begin soon.

The chief minister had symbolically launched the identity card distribution, by handing over a card to a street vendor on the day.
