New Chariot Offered to Kollur Goddess Mookambika After 400 Years: Know More About This

A new chariot(Ratha) has been constructed and dedicated to Kollur Sri Mookambika Temple after 400 years. The chariot is offered to the temple in the form of a Seva by Sunil R Shetty, son of entrepreneur late R N Shetty. The new chariot was readied at the Vishwakarma Karakushala Shilpakala Kendra of Kumbhashi.

The Pura Pravesha of the chariot commenced at Koteshwara on February 15. Chandrashekhar Shetty, President of Kollur Mookambika Temple Management Committee, sculptors Lakshminarayana Acharya, Rajashekhar Acharya and others were present. The Brahmaratha has been offered to Kollur Goddess Mookambika on February 16.
