Open-Air Theatre now at University College

March 28: The Open-Air theatre is helpful for students in conducting and taking part in cultural activities. The theatre has been sponsored by  Karnataka Bank and will be built by the bank’s CSR funds.
The theatre is designed by Nirmithi Kendra, Udupi, which will monitor the work as well. The structure will be built in such a way that it synchronizes with the laterite building of the university college. It will also include the green room facility. The work is expected to be completed before the monsoons.
Karnataka Bank Managing Director and CEO Mahabaleshwara M S performs the ground breaking for Karnataka Bank open air theater at University College premises in Hampankatta, Mangaluru on Thursday in the presence of Mangalore University vice chancellor in-charge Dr Kishori Nayak K and University College Principal Prof Uday Kumar M A.
Mangalore University in-charge vice chancellor Dr Kishori Nayak K said that Socially relevant works carried out with a sense of aesthetics are not only significant but are worthy of appreciation.
