There is a growing demand for tri colour badges using coconut shells  by women from the Mahalingeshwara Sanjeevini Okkoota, as Independence is nearing and everyone is gearing up for the celebration. Tricolour stickers are affixed onto rectangular coconut shells. Each badge is priced at Rs 25, is 1.5 inches long and one inch wide, and can be pinned to clothes.

On the mini-tricolour badges, three teams are working on the project and have already sold 150 badges and another batch of 60 badges is expected to be ready by the end of the day. As news of their efforts is being circulated, more individuals are reaching out to the team for badges.
