Over 1 Lakh Tonnes of Sand Available For General Public: Spread The Word

Over 1 lakh tonnes of sand was available for the general public in the district in 23 blocks under non-Coastal Regulation Zone, said the Dakshina Kannada district administration. The blocks were identified and put for e-auction by the administration. The minimum price of sand at the loading point (stock yard) was ₹900 and the maximum was ₹1,200 per tonne, according to Mines and Geology officials.

Members of the public in need of sand may contact the contractors concerned and avail the sand, the administration said. Details of the taluk, sand block, quantum of sand available and the names and telephone numbers of the contractors are as under:
