Palm Sunday observed in Dakshina kannada & Udupi

April 14: Christians across Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts observed the Palm Sunday on Sunday, april 14 commemorating the triumphal entry of Jesus Christ into Jerusalem ahead of his crucifixion and resurrection, marking the beginning of the Holy Week. Devotees participated in a procession with palm leaves to mark the occasion in Mangalore.
Dr Gerald Isaac Lobo Bishop of Udupi Diocese along with Parish Priest Fr Vincent Crasta celebrated the Palm Sunday Service at the Immaculate Heart Church Nakre near Karkala.
