Passenger Footfall at Mangalore International Airport Increased to 6200 Per Day on Ganesh Chaturthi

Passenger footfall at Mangalore International Airport (MIA) crossed 6,000 per day, the first time after the Covid-19 pandemic, due to the rush on the occasion Ganesh Chaturthi on September 16. The average footfall at MIA in the month of August 2023 was 5,354 fliers a day, and on Saturday, the passenger movement was around 6,200 per day. The increase in footfalls comes despite domestic air ticket fares being at an all-time high.

Meanwhile, aviation enthusiasts and passengers demanded that airfare to MIA from existing destinations across the country be lowered, and current fares are expensive.
