The Railways has extended the periodicity of Mangalore Junction – Surat (Udhna) – Mangalore Junction bi-weekly special train on special fare for a month.
Train No. 09057 Surat – Mangalore Junction bi-weekly special train will operate at special fares on Wednesdays and Sundays till January 28. Its pairing service,
Train No. 09058 Mangalore Junction – Surat, will run on Thursdays and Mondays till January 29, said a release from Konkan Railway Corporation Ltd.
During the extended period, the train will run with a revised composition of coaches, i.e., the number of sleeper class coaches has been reduced while that of the 3-tier AC coaches has been increased. The revised composition will have one 2-tier AC, 10 3-tier AC, five sleeper class, two general second class and two luggage-cum-brake van coaches, in all 20 coaches.
