Pillion rider killed while trying to save a dog
May 2: A pillion rider was killed after he fell down from a two-wheeler when the rider applied brakes to save from hitting a dog. He died while he was being taken to a hospital for treatment. The accident took place at Arasikatte on Karkala-Guruvayanakere state highway. The deceased has been identified as Sanjeeva Poojary.
Rider Umesh Poojary has suffered minor injuries. A case has been registered in this connection.
