Police Jeep rams into a divider near Hampankatta

In a case of alleged drink & drive, the driver of a police jeep rammed the Police Jeep into the divider near the railway station at Hampankatta on Tuesday night, March 26.

The driver, whose identity is not yet disclosed, was allegedly driving the police jeep under heavy influence of alcohol. As per the sources, he was a part of the reserved police team.
The police jeep climbed over the divider and then came to a stop. Soon after the accident, people gathered in large numbers and took the driver to task.
The police said that the driver rammed into the divider after he changed the direction of the jeep to avoid hitting an auto rickshaw.
