Police Officers’s Atrocity: SP orders probe

April 2: Micheal Mingel Lobo  (49), a resident of Belthangady complained to Dakshina kannada Superintendent of Police B M Laxmi Prasad against the atrocity committed against him by Police Inspector Sandesh. In his complaint he alleged that the inspector manhandled him & robbed his valuables while in custody. He even said that the inspector was having an affair with his wife.
He complained that a false case was filed against him by Inspector Sandesh. Lobo was married to Benedict for 24 years and was working in abroad. Recently Benedict left to her parents place after some issue between the couple.
SP B M Laxmi Prasad said that an inquiry has been ordered into the case and the case will be headed by ASP Bantwal. Similar cases have been files against Inspector Sandesh, sources said.
