Powerlifter From Mangalore Wins Eight Gold Medals in The Commonwealth Powerlifting Championships held at New Zealand

International powerlifter and international category II referee K Harish Kumar from Mangalore represented India in the Commonwealth Powerlifting Championships held in Auckland, New Zealand, from November 24 to December 4. He participated in the M4-84kg category, in both classic and equipped events, and won eight gold medals.

Harish Kumar is a member of the Balanjaneya Gymnasium Mangalore and a retired employee of the Head Post Office in the city. He has been participating in bodybuilding, weightlifting and powerlifting competitions for the last 50 years, and won titles like Karnataka Kumar, and has been a national champion in powerlifting and weightlifting.
